How much better can it get?
I love this site! 🙂 Here is their first video.
Marcus Aurelius’ remark. “The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane”
“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.”
Often when the heart is torn with sorrow, spiritually we wander like a traveler lost in a deep wood. We grow frightened, lose all sense of direction, batter ourselves against trees and rocks in our attempt to find a path. All the while there is a path — a path of faith — that leads straight out of the dense tangle of our difficulties into the open road we are seeking. ~ Helen Keller
Throughout our whole life our job is simply to exert the best possible influence on the part of the world we touch. The flowers we cultivate in our own garden will drop their seeds in the patch next door. This is how in our own gentle way we transform the world.

So, I got this wild hair up my butt and decided I’m just going to do it. 🙂 Run a marathon.
It’s been rolling around in my head for years now, and I’ve just been too intimidated!
But a week ago I just got this impulse to do it. I called my sister and asked her if she would do it with me.
She is in another state, but that’s what I need. Long distance support. 🙂
Then there is accountability, but I won’t be constantly compairing where I am with what someone else is doing. That will create the space I need to focus, and the drive to not let my sister down.
I am freakin EXCITED! :)))))
Think I can do it?

After a while you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a Soul
And you learn that Love doesn’t mean leaning
And company doesn’t mean security
And you begin to learn that Kisses aren’t contracts
And presents are not promises
And you begin to accept defeats
With your head held up and your eyes open
With grace of a person, not the grief of a child
And you learn to build your roads
On today, because tomorrows ground
Is too uncertain for plans, and future has
A way of falling down in mid-flight
After a while you learn that even Sunshine
Burns if you get too much
So! You plant your own Garden and decorate
Your own Soul instead of waiting
For someone to bring you flowers
You learn that being solitary is not alone
And you find that sex is not union
So you remove the cords
That have been attached over the years
To all of the others and you clear the way
Sitting in your center space of balance
To find your true self
And you learn that you really can endure
That you really are strong
And you really do have worth
And you learn and you learn
With every Hello and Good-bye you learn
